The Town of Clayton recognizes two newly elected council members and one returning leader.
This evening, a swearing-in ceremony took place during the Regular Town Council Meeting. Taking their oaths of office were:
Ruth Anderson – issued by Mayor Jody L. McLeod
Gretchen Williams – issued by The Honorable Addie Rawls, retired District Court Judge
Mayor Jody L. McLeod – issued by Town Clerk Heidi Holland
All three officials have committed to serving four-year terms, which officially start tonight and run through December 2027.
In addition, Outgoing Council Members Avery Everett (not pictured) and Jason Thompson received acknowledgment for their years of service to the community.
