How do I rent the Square on Main Street?

How can I be a vendor at a Downtown Clayton Special Event? 

Downtown Clayton Events include: the Downtown Concert Series, Square to Square Independence Day Street Festival and the Christmas Village and Tree Lighting. For Harvest Festival vendors please visit:

For Food Vendor:

  • Food Vendors are invited to set up at events for a fee by invitation only. Interested vendors can fill out the interest form at the bottom of this page and invitations to events are sent out as needed.

For Non-Profits: 

  • During the annual Square-to-Square Independence Day Street Festival the Town host a ‘Non-Profit Village’ for Clayton and Johnston County based non-profits to set up a 10x10 tent at no charge. Registration for the 2024 Square to Square festival will begin on March 1. The event is held during the evening hours of July 4th prior to the Fireworks show.
  • There are also activity leaders during the Christmas Village and Tree Lighting. If you are interested in that opportunity please reach out to Amy Shearin, .

For Businesses: 

  • Businesses are allowed to set up at events as part of a Downtown Event Sponsorship. For information about Event Sponsorships at Downtown Events please click here.  

For Vendors looking to sell crafts or other goods:

  • Every October the Clayton Chamber of Commerce hosts the Harvest Festival in Downtown Clayton, vendor spaces normally open for registration in the Spring, click here for more information:
  • On Saturday mornings the Clayton Farm and Community Market is hosted in Horne Square, visit their website to learn about their vendor criteria. 
  • Small Business Saturday Pop-Up Market- follow the Downtown Clayton Facebook Page, as we get closer to Small Business Saturday the Downtown Development Association will put out a sign-up form.
